Zack Cleary
AMGA Assistant Rock Guide, Certified Single Pitch Instructor
Whether it’s giving it that first go, learning something new, or ticking off the line that you’ve been eyeing, let’s explore together! Zack can take you rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, or adventuring in any way you want to explore the hills. Throughout the past four years, Zack has been professionally guiding and exploring the country. After spending breezy summers guiding on the precipitous Maine coast, Zack makes his way back to the ice climbing and skiing gem of the green mountain state to cozy up for winter. Zack is an American Mountain Guide Association certified Apprentice Rock Guide and Single Pitch Instructor with rock and ice climbing experience throughout the country.
Zack first started climbing during his time at Colgate University and devoted much of his time to the Outdoor Education program. When he wasn’t struggling on physics problem sets, he was leading other students on trips throughout the country while also establishing a firm devotion to the states in the upper right corner. Subsequently, after graduation, Zack headed to the uppermost, rightest corner of the states, to Acadia National Park, and started lowering climbers in over the Atlantic swells. During the sticks seasons, he’s likely making a trek to the illustrious, red stone of the southwest to get his desert-dwelling fill and convincing himself that he likes off-width climbing.
Zack loves passing knowledge to others and if you get out with him, expect to have a great time and learn something new!
