Rab was built on two things: A deep understanding of what climbers and mountaineers need, and a commitment to practical gear that works. They have upheld this vision since the very first idea of the company took form way back in 1973. Rab Carrington, the original founder, was stuck in Buenos Aires en-route to Patagonia when baggage delays and worker strikes held him up. He found work, in his now forced down time, sewing sleeping bags for a friend and if it wasn’t for this delay in plans the company we all know and love may never have come to fruition.
Since the companies rapid growth over the last several decades RAB continues to excel and deliver the highest quality products with a strong emphasis on innovation, integrity and function. That is why the Smuggs Ice Bash is so excited to have their support for our 10th Annual Ice Bash this year. This year they are coming in strong with a bunch of demo’s for both the guys and the gals!
