Winter is here, ice is forming and I’m sure a lot of us are getting antsy about sinking our tools into that deep azure blue ice. The 8th Annual Smuggs’ Ice Bash is just around the corner and all of us here at the gym are getting stoked to offer yet another great festival. We’re hashing out the fine details about the event, so stay tuned for those. But in the meantime make sure you sign-up for one of the great clinics to be offered this year. Some of the clinics we are really excited about this year are Saturday’s ‘Efficient Climbing Techniques’ , Sunday’s ‘Using Double Ropes’ & ‘Ice and Snow Anchors’. Invaluable skills to have to take your climbing to the next level. If you’re looking to get away from the crowd’s but take part in the festivals camaraderie and have prior climbing experience, maybe hiring a private guide for a day is the ticket.
